@ Castle Avenue, Clontarf 6ths beat Wicklow by 9 wickets.
Wicklow won the toss and chose to bat. In a very tight bowling display Wicklow reached 117-6 in their 40 overs. Kevin McDermott was outstanding with figures of 3-13 off his 8 overs with able support from the other bowlers. A wicket each for Orwell, Neal Smillie and Adam Craig who was playing his first game for the 6ths.

Opener Vidhya Gompa smashed the ball around to all corners of the ground as he made 71 not out, ably supported by Brendan Duggan who made 35 not out to complete a comprehensive win.
      
Sat 28 May
@ Phoenix, Clontarf 3rds beat Phoenix by 8 wickets
John Norton got 5-42 as Phoenix were bowled out for 182. Brian McDermott made 53 and Dan Ashton continued his run of form with 66 not out. The 3rds have now won 3 out of 4 league games.


@ Castle Avenue, Clontarf 5ths beat Merrion by 8 wickets.
Merrion were all out for 83 with Brian Cotter taking 4-8 and Samuel Ritchie 3-8. The 5ths made short work of the run chase pick of the bolwers being pick of the batsmen! Brian Cotter was unbeaten on 38 with Samuel making 34. The 5ths are right up the top of the table having won the last three on the bounce.


@ Civil Service, Clontarf 7ths lost to Civil Service by 20 runs.
Service made 167 with Amir P taking 3-21 and Paddy Kirk taking 2-29. The 7ths came up 20 short despite the best efforts of John Watson who top scored with 34.
      
Sun 22 May
@ Malahide, Clontarf 2nds lost to Malahide by 1 run D/L
Wickets for Ian Dent in Malahides total of 254. The 2nds heartbreakingly come up one run short on the D/L chase. (more to follow)

@ Balbriggan, Clontarf 4ths lost to Balbriggan by 7 runs.
Balbriggan made 261. In reply Dan Ashton hit a second century in as many weeks but the lads finished up on 255-6, just 7 runs short.

@ Castle Avenue, Clontarf 6ths lost to Leinster by 5 wickets.
Chosing to bat first, the 6ths failed to put enough runs on the board scoring 162-8 from their 40 overs. Amir Muhammed made 32, Marguerite Burke 23 and Tom James 29* but 162 was always going to be difficult to defend. Tight bowling from Richie Smith and Orwell for the first 10 overs kept Leinster pinned back but their number 3 batsman got his eye in and hit two switch hits for boundaries on his way to 59. Leinster got there in the 34th over with 5 wickets to spare.

In two schoolboy games the U13As continued their great start to the season with a close win against Rush while the U11Cs also kept their 100% record going when winning by 6 runs in Old Belvedere.
      
Sat 21 May
@ Castle Avenue, Clontarf 1sts beat YMCA by 21 runs D/L.
Tarf made 228/8 from 50 overs with half centuries for Andrew Poynter and Rod Hokin. At 82/0 off 11 overs it looked like YMCA would motor home but a great comeback ensured Clontarf won the game. 4 wickets from Andrew Poynter, 3 for Alex Cusack and 2 for Rod.

@ Mount Temple, Clontarf 5ths beat Phoenix by 6 wickets.
Batting first Phoenix were all out for 101 with 4 wickets for Rory Kirk and 3 for Andrew Delany. Tarf made short work of chasing down the total getting there in 18.3 overs with runs for Samuel Ritchie (30)and Colin Currie (26)

In two schoolgirl games the Under 13 girls lost to Rush and the Under 11s beat Malahide by 11 runs

@ Kenure, Clontarf Ladies 1sts beat Rush by 57 runs.
Clontarf, batting first, made 131/5 from their 20 overs with 41 not out for Nicola Murphy and 22 for Emma Thompson. In reply Rush were all out for 74 with debut figures of 5-19 for Emma Thompson, 2 wickets each for Gladys Shaw and Lauren Maxwell and one for Laura Cullen. Great start ladies!
      
Sat 14 May
@ Castle Avenue (Irish Senior Cup), Clontarf 1sts beat Coleraine by 8 wickets (D/L).
Coleraine won the toss and chose to bat. In a stop start innings due to rain, they eventually made 174-7 from their reduced allocation of 41 overs. Joe Morrissey bowled his 10 overs on the bounce to finish with excellent figures of 4-22, which included as good a slip catch as you're likely to see from Rod Hokin and a sharp stumping by Ado D'Arcy who had a very good day behind the stumps.

Clontarf lost just two wickets on their way to the D/L required score with Ado D'Arcy hitting a half century.

@Sydney Parade, Clontarf 3rds lost to Pembroke by 2 wickets (more detail to follow)

@ Castle Avenue, Clontarf 2nds lost to Leinster by 3 wickets
Clontarf, batting first, made 180 with Bobbo Forrest top scoring with 46. Leinster chased down the total with 3 wickets to spare.

@Ardee, Clontarf 6ths beat Dundalk by 70 runs (Friendly)
On a very sticky wicket, in a 30 over game, Tarf were asked to bat first and were in trouble at 48-6 in the 17th over. Opener Paul McShane(23) and skipper Tom James put on 28 for the 8th wicket with Tom and Orwell putting on 20 for the 10th wicket to take the score to 109-9 off 30 overs. Tom finished unbeaten on 24*.

Bowling was superb all around with 3 wickets for Sanjeev, 2 each for Neil Smillie, Rob McDermott and Huw Leggate with one for Orwell who returned figures of 1-4 from his 4 overs.
Weds 11 May
@ College Park, Clontarf 4ths beat Trinity by 84 runs.
The 4ths batted first making 242/6 from their 45 overs. Star of the run makers was Dan Ashton with the first century of the season in the club as he made 107. Others who played their part were Brian McDermott (66) and skipper Brian Cotter (30*)

Trinity made 158 all out in reply with Conor Mullins taking 4 wickets and the two McDermott brothers (Brian and Kevin) taking two each.
      
Sat 6 May
@ Castle Ave, Clontarf 1sts lost to Railway Union by 7 wickets.
Clontarf were put into bat and were all out for 244. Half centuries from Alex Cusack (60), Bill Coghlan (55) and Andrew Poynter (50). Railway chased down the total in 37.4 overs for the loss of 3 wickets.

@ Park Avenue, Clontarf 3rds beat Railway Union by 1 wicket.
Railway batted first, reaching 186 all out. In a thrilling run chase, Clontarf chased down the total with just one wicket to spare. Skipper Frankie made 38* with Dave Foley chipping in with 24 with last man standing Mick Ryan (3* )taking us over the line with Frankie.

@ Marlay Park, Clontarf 5ths beat Sandyford by 164 runs
Batting first the 5ths put on a good total of 204-7 off their 40 overs. Colin Currie (34) and Andrew Delany (20) put on over 50 for the first wicket with each of the other batsmen chiipping in before skipper Ian Smillie came in and hit some huge sixes in his knock of 60*. Sandyford never got going with wickets tumbling early on. The game was over before drinks with Sandyford all out for 40. Wickets shared around - Pavan 2-1, Emma Thompson 2-3, David Delany 2-11 with one each for Ian Smillie, Andrew Delany and Amir Panjwani.
      
Sun 7 May
@ Sydney Parade, Clontarf 2nds lost to Pembroke by 9 wickets.
The 2nds were all out for 162 with only Robert Forreast (48) and Conor D'Arcy (42) in the runs. Pembroke chased the total down losing only one wicket.

@ Castle Ave, Clontarf 4ths beat Balbriggan.
Balbriggan posted a total of 202-4. The 4ths chased it down to win with runs from David Delany (69), Ian Smillie (45) and Dan Ashton (36)
