Re: Poster of Kitchener

I find it objectionable that this is the only response in over a month to a poster asking for people to put their hand up and help out. The poster is not intended to offend anyone and is just a play on the well-known "your country needs you" poster. At least somebody has noticed it. The next step is for a few members to step up to the plate and email Deryck Vincent at youth@clontarfcricket.com and offer their support.

PS: If there is a God, and he likes Cricket, I'm sure he follows the tarf!

Not a secular club?

I just noticed that under the cliched poster of Kitchener wanting YOU to play for the club etc... it reads 'God save the tarf'- Is there a religious ethos in CCC? If so, it's the first I've heard of it. I'm just wondering if anyone finds this objectionable?

Committee Meeting

Just to confirm, the next committee meeting is Monday April 7th at 8pm.

Juniors training

I am sure that it would be fine for juniors from under 15 upwards to train with the 4ths/5ths etc.
Training for under 11 and under 13 squads will commence in mid April and they will be notified by letter.
Friday nights will start mid May and again letters will be issued to notify. Under 15s/17s will start in May ex those doing state exams and again they will be notified. This year we aim to arrange some internal
"youth" 20/20 games to provide more cricket for the 15-17 age group.
We still need managers for u13 A and B team so if you fell you can help please contact me at youth@clontarfcricket .com

4ths / 5ths first game

Looking forward to the new season and getting out and playing for tarf again.

Just a point to make.. ....one nets session for the 4ths and 5ths before first game..doesnt seem like very much. Number 9/10 batsmen like myself could probably do with more practice. (And its even more important for those lads capable of making real scores). Bit of fielding practice probably wouldnt go a miss either I reckon. Its a long time since the end of last season.

I dont suppose there's much can be done about it now so lets hope that it doenst get in the way of a winning start for the 4th and 5ths on opening weekend in castle ave.
